Equity Partner

Damon’s work centers on foreclosure litigation and the practical reality of what wins cases: accurate timelines, clean pleadings, and evidence that holds up in court. He helps clients understand what matters now, what can wait, and what needs to be filed or negotiated before options narrow. As an equity partner, Damon supports case strategy from intake through resolution, with a focus on making the next step obvious and defensible. When a case needs structure, he brings it. When a case needs pressure, he knows where to apply it.

Approach and Philosophy

Damon is direct about one thing: strong outcomes come from disciplined execution, not noise. He builds strategies around what the court will actually require, what the opposing side must prove, and what your documents really say.

Clarity first: you get a realistic plan and a timeline you can follow
Proof driven advocacy: allegations matter less than records, notices, and payment history
Smart pressure: targeted motions and negotiations when they create leverage

Professional Background

Before law school, Damon earned both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Illinois State University and worked in the McLean County State’s Attorney’s Office, with experience that shaped how he evaluates facts, credibility, and case movement.

He moved to Chicago in 2007 and later earned his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law.

Public Interest and Housing Court Roots

During law school, Damon was active in public interest work through DePaul’s Center for Public Interest Law, earned pro bono recognition, and spent time in housing court defense with Legal Assistance Foundation, including direct client facing work while licensed as a 711 student.

That foundation still shows up in how he practices now: steady communication, respect for the client’s reality, and a focus on practical next steps that hold up in court.
