EV Häs, LLC Attorney at Law
Terms of Service
Effective date: November 4, 2026
1. Scope
These Terms describe the conditions for use of foreclosuredefenselawoffice.com and related online resources provided by EV Häs, LLC Attorney at Law (the “Firm,” “we,” or “us”). They address the website, inquiries, educational materials, and associated online interactions. Please read them together with the Privacy Policy and Disclaimer.
These website Terms are not an engagement agreement for legal representation and do not replace professional duties or non-waivable rights. If we enter into a separate agreement with you for a particular service, that agreement governs that service to the extent relevant. We do not establish arbitration requirements, a class-action waiver, or a limitation on professional responsibility merely through this website notice.
2. Website information
Articles, videos, podcasts, presentations, examples, and other resources provide general information. They may not reflect the facts of your situation, the latest developments, or the requirements of a particular court. You should not treat them as a substitute for advice about your own circumstances.
Our Illinois-focused content may discuss Chicago, Cook County, and other local jurisdictions. A discussion of one county’s procedure does not establish the procedure for another county. Applicable statutes, court rules, orders, and local requirements must be evaluated in the relevant matter.
3. Inquiries and representation
Visiting the website, downloading material, joining an event, submitting a form, or requesting an appointment does not automatically retain the Firm. Representation requires an appropriate agreement and acceptance after matters such as scope and conflicts have been addressed. Do not assume that we have agreed to act, monitor a deadline, or appear in court unless that responsibility has been accepted.
These Terms do not deny duties that may arise concerning prospective clients under applicable professional rules. Before sending extensive sensitive information, contact us to discuss an appropriate intake process. We may need limited identifying information to assess a potential conflict before receiving detailed documents.
4. Deadlines
The website, general inquiry forms, email, and social-media accounts are not court filing systems or emergency services. Submitting an inquiry does not file an appearance, answer, motion, appeal, or any other court document, and it does not extend a deadline or stop a sale or other proceeding.
If a deadline is approaching, contact appropriate counsel promptly and confirm that someone has accepted responsibility for the necessary action. An automatic acknowledgement or appointment request is not confirmation that legal work has begun. Existing clients should follow the communication arrangements established with their legal team.
5. Your submissions
Please provide accurate contact information and promptly correct information needed to communicate with you. Submit documents only when you have the right or authority to provide them. Do not use another person’s identity, submit malicious files, or send information through a public comment that should be handled privately.
You retain applicable rights in materials you provide. Providing documents for an inquiry or service permits their use for handling that interaction, subject to confidentiality and applicable law; it does not grant a blanket right to use your name, photograph, testimonial, or case details in advertising. Any necessary separate authorization must be addressed separately.
6. Communications
The Privacy Policy explains our own marketing, CRM use, and communication choices. Each marketing email includes an unsubscribe option. Text recipients may request a stop by replying STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE, or use the assistance contacts in that policy. Relevant program notices describe consent, rates, frequency, and support where a messaging program is offered.
These Terms are not consent to automated marketing calls or texts. Marketing consent, where required, must be obtained through an appropriate separate process and is not a condition of purchasing services. Necessary case communications do not eliminate an applicable opt-out right; the Firm and client should arrange an appropriate alternative contact method where needed.
Email and text delivery can be delayed, filtered, interrupted, or misdirected. Confirm important communications through your established contact channel, especially where legal deadlines are involved. Never rely solely on an automated delivery notice as proof that a legal professional has reviewed or acted on a message.
7. Appointments and engagement
An appointment request is subject to confirmation and availability. Any scope, fee, payment arrangement, or service commitment will be communicated through the appropriate appointment or engagement process. Website descriptions do not promise acceptance of every matter or a particular legal outcome.
If you cannot attend an appointment, contact us promptly. Any cancellation fee or other material condition must be disclosed through the relevant arrangement; these Terms do not create an undisclosed charge. Questions about invoices, representation, or the scope of work should be directed to the Firm rather than resolved by assumptions based on general website language.
8. Events
Event pages describe the information available for a specific event, including dates, venue, registration, and attendance conditions. Consult the applicable event page and registration confirmation for the current details. A registration acknowledgement does not necessarily confirm completion of an educational program or eligibility for a professional credit.
Where continuing education credit is offered, any applicable attendance, verification, provider, or licensing requirements govern eligibility. Promotional references do not replace those requirements. Material changes, cancellations, or refund conditions, where relevant, should be communicated through the applicable event process. This general notice does not establish new refund restrictions or undisclosed attendance conditions.
Participation in an educational event does not itself establish legal representation. Avoid sharing confidential information in group discussions or public question-and-answer sessions.
9. External services
The website may link to registration providers, client communication tools, social media, podcasts, payment services, or other external resources. Their independent services may be subject to their own terms and privacy notices. A link is not an endorsement of every statement, product, or practice on an external site.
If you are provided a client account or portal, protect your credentials, use authorized access only, and promptly report suspected compromise. Do not share passwords or impersonate another user. Portal-specific terms and instructions may apply in addition to these website Terms. We do not promise availability or specific security features of a third-party system through this notice.
10. Intellectual property
The website includes Firm content and material used under applicable permissions or licenses. You may view it and use publicly offered downloads for their intended personal or educational purpose, subject to any stated terms and rights provided by law. Do not misrepresent authorship, remove required attribution, misuse trademarks, or redistribute material in a way that infringes applicable rights.
Requests to reproduce material commercially or use Firm branding should be directed to us. Nothing in these Terms restricts fair use or other lawful uses. Third-party photographs, logos, recordings, and other materials remain subject to their owners’ rights.
11. Acceptable use
Do not attempt unauthorized access, disrupt the website, introduce malware, harvest personal information unlawfully, or use the service for fraudulent or unlawful conduct. We may take reasonable measures to address misuse while respecting applicable law and existing professional obligations.
The website may be interrupted for maintenance, technical issues, or other reasons. We may correct or update content, and older resources may remain available for reference. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every historical resource will be updated immediately. These statements do not excuse professional obligations in an accepted representation or remove rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
12. Accessibility and corrections
If you cannot access content, encounter a broken link, or need an alternative format, contact the Firm and identify the resource and the difficulty. Please also notify us of apparent factual or technical errors so that we can review them. Requests for assistance do not require submission of confidential case information through a public channel.
13. Applicable law and updates
The Firm’s Illinois operations are subject to applicable federal and Illinois law and relevant professional requirements. Local rules may apply to particular matters. These Terms do not declare a particular court’s exclusive jurisdiction, waive consumer rights, or replace jurisdiction-specific obligations by selecting a blanket rule for every visitor.
We may revise these website Terms and display the revised date. Material changes requiring separate notice or agreement will be handled accordingly. A website update does not amend an existing engagement agreement without any agreement or process required for that change.
