EV Häs, LLC Attorney at Law
Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 4, 2026
1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy describes how EV Häs, LLC Attorney at Law (the “Firm,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) handles personal information in connection with foreclosuredefenselawoffice.com, inquiries, event registrations, marketing, and related services. It also explains how to contact us about your information and communication preferences.
Legal representation may involve additional privacy and confidentiality obligations, as well as the terms of an engagement agreement. This website policy does not reduce those obligations or authorize disclosure of protected client or prospective-client information. Third-party websites and platforms have their own policies; our use of a provider does not make that provider’s independent services subject to this notice.
2. Information we collect
The information involved depends on your interaction with us. It may include:
- Identity and contact details: your name, email, telephone number, postal address, and business affiliation when you provide it.
- Inquiry and matter information: the questions, property details, correspondence, documents, and other information you submit about a possible or existing matter.
- Relationship and transaction records: appointments, service requests, engagement and billing correspondence, and related administrative records where relevant to services you request.
- Event and content preferences: registrations, attendance information supplied by an event platform, requests for educational material, and communication preferences.
- Communication and consent records: messages, opt-in and opt-out records, and the information needed to honor your choices.
- Website and campaign usage: technical information such as IP address, browser, device, referring pages, and interactions with website content or tracked marketing links, where those technologies are used.
We receive information directly from you and, where appropriate, from an authorized representative, a referral source, public records, or service providers supporting an interaction you have with us. A referral or inclusion in our contact database does not by itself establish permission to send marketing texts.
General inquiry forms are not intended for Social Security numbers, passwords, complete financial account numbers, or extensive confidential case files. Please ask us for an appropriate channel before sending sensitive documents. When submitting information about someone else, do so only when you have appropriate authority or another lawful basis.
3. How we use information
We use information as appropriate to respond to inquiries, evaluate whether we can assist, check for conflicts, arrange appointments, provide agreed services, communicate with clients, administer events, maintain business records, and operate the website. We also use information to address technical problems, protect against misuse, comply with applicable obligations, and respond to legitimate requests.
We store contact information in our customer relationship management system (CRM) to manage relationships and the Firm’s own marketing. This may include information about our services, educational resources, podcasts, and events, subject to applicable requirements and your preferences. CRM storage is not a separate consent to every communication channel, and an existing relationship is not treated as a substitute for any consent required for a particular marketing communication.
Providing information does not automatically retain the Firm. Please see our Terms of Service and Disclaimer concerning inquiries and representation.
4. Communications and opt-outs
Marketing email
Every marketing email from the Firm includes an unsubscribe option. You may use that link to stop marketing emails, or email clients@evlawgroup.com with the address you wish to unsubscribe. You may request a stop to all marketing email, rather than only a particular topic or campaign. We do not require a purchase, a fee, or an account login to make that request. We honor marketing-email opt-outs within the legally required period, no later than ten business days.
Text messages and SMS
If you receive texts from the Firm, you may reply STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE to the sending number to request that messages stop. We also honor other recognized opt-out keywords, including QUIT, END, REVOKE, OPT OUT, and CANCEL, as applicable, and you may contact clients@evlawgroup.com or call (312) 775-0980 for help with your preferences. Identify the telephone number affected so we can locate the correct record; do not include sensitive case details in an opt-out request.
We process revocation requests promptly within applicable legal deadlines. A permitted, non-promotional confirmation of your request may be sent. If you continue to receive messages after opting out, contact us so that we can investigate and correct the issue. Deleting an app or blocking a number on your device is not the same as notifying us of a preference change.
Permission and program information
Where consent is required, we obtain it for the relevant communication before sending it. Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of purchasing services. Providing a telephone number or submitting an inquiry is not, by itself, blanket consent to automated promotional messages. Where a messaging program is offered, its enrollment notice explains the sender, purpose, relevant frequency information, possible message and data rates, and how to obtain assistance or stop messages. Frequency depends on the program and your interactions; your wireless provider may charge for messages or data.
Service communications and your choices
An email marketing unsubscribe does not necessarily stop non-promotional communications about services you have requested, an active matter, billing, or legally required notices. However, this distinction does not authorize us to disregard a text-message opt-out. If you opt out of texts, we will use an appropriate alternative channel for necessary communications rather than assume that an active matter permits continued texting. Tell your legal team if your preferred contact method changes, particularly when deadlines are involved.
You may ask us to stop marketing across channels. We may retain a limited suppression record to respect your request and prevent a later import or campaign from re-enrolling you inadvertently. A new marketing subscription must reflect an appropriate new request or consent; unsubscribing does not automatically delete a client file or legally required records.
5. Information disclosure
We do not sell personal information or share it with third parties for their independent marketing. We do use service providers for operational functions such as website hosting, CRM administration, communications, scheduling, and event services. Such providers may handle information to perform those functions for us; that operational handling is distinct from permission to market their own unrelated services to you.
Information may also be disclosed when you authorize it, when reasonably necessary to provide agreed legal services subject to applicable confidentiality requirements, or when disclosure is permitted or required by law. Depending on a matter, this can include communications with courts, opposing counsel, experts, or other participants. We do not treat this general policy as advance consent to disclose confidential matter information indiscriminately.
Any legally permitted business transition involving records must be handled consistently with applicable professional duties and privacy obligations. A lawful request for information does not eliminate the need to evaluate privilege, confidentiality, or available protections.
6. Mobile information
Mobile contact information and SMS consent records are not sold or shared with third parties for their independent marketing or promotional purposes. Access by providers supporting message delivery, preference management, or related services is limited to the relevant operational purpose, subject to applicable requirements. Consent records are maintained to document preferences and support compliance, not to create a separate advertising audience for other businesses.
7. Cookies and analytics
The website may use cookies and similar technologies for functionality, usage measurement, and related website operations. Marketing campaigns may use tracked links or other measurement technologies to understand interaction with content. Those technologies can involve technical and engagement information; this policy does not represent that every visit or message is tracked.
Browser settings may let you remove or block cookies, although some features may work differently afterward. Email software may also offer image-loading or tracking controls. A marketing unsubscribe changes your communication preference; it does not itself remove cookies already stored on your device. Conversely, clearing cookies does not unsubscribe an email address.
Any processing that requires a separate notice, consent, or opt-out mechanism must be addressed through the applicable control. This notice does not supply consent to an undisclosed advertising use, and we do not promise that browser preference signals are implemented without an applicable technical mechanism.
8. Data retention
We retain information for the purposes for which it is needed and for applicable legal, professional, accounting, dispute-resolution, and business-record obligations. Retention depends on the information and relationship involved; there is no single period appropriate to every inquiry, client file, or consent record. Legal holds or professional obligations may prevent immediate deletion.
When covered personal information is disposed of, the disposal process must protect against reconstruction or unauthorized access, consistent with applicable law. An unsubscribe request generally changes marketing permissions rather than requiring destruction of all historical records. We retain only the information reasonably needed to maintain suppression preferences and satisfy continuing obligations.
9. Security
We are responsible for applying reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle, including applicable Illinois requirements. No website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please avoid sending passwords or unnecessary sensitive information by ordinary email, and report suspected unauthorized communications to the Firm using known contact details.
If a security incident affects personal information, we evaluate it and provide notices to affected individuals or authorities when required by applicable law. The timing and content of any notice depend on the incident and the governing requirements. This policy does not assert that a particular platform is immune from breaches or that using a provider transfers away the Firm’s responsibilities.
10. Your requests
You may contact us to request access to information you provided, correction of inaccurate contact information, a change of preferences, or deletion where appropriate. We will evaluate your request under applicable law and professional obligations. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity or an authorized representative’s authority before disclosing or changing protected records.
Some information cannot be disclosed or deleted, including information protected by another person’s rights, privilege, a legal hold, or a recordkeeping duty. We will explain an applicable limitation where appropriate. This policy does not promise rights from another jurisdiction apply to every visitor; any rights that do apply remain available. Contact us if you need help making a request in an accessible format.
11. Children and external services
The website and marketing are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through the website, contact us. This does not mean that a legitimate legal matter can never involve information concerning a minor; such information is handled in the context of the matter and applicable duties.
Social-media comments and other public submissions may be visible to others. Do not post confidential matter information publicly. Event registration, video, podcast, and other external platforms may collect information under their own notices. Review the relevant platform’s terms before providing information; external account settings may need to be managed separately from your preferences with the Firm.
12. Updates and contact
We may update this policy to reflect changes in services, practices, or requirements. The published version will state its effective or revised date. If a change requires additional notice or consent, we will address that requirement separately; posting an update does not retroactively create marketing consent.
